Indeed, it is the only time that our wines are discounted in any way. This year it is all slightly different. The vintage scheduled for release was 2020, but as I’m sure you all remember, everything in 2020 was damaged by smoke and not good enough for us to release – so there is none!
So, what to do? We would like to keep the principle of offering each year, something to our Mailing List at a discount, I guess as a way of saying ‘thank you’ for being our customers.
Ever since we have been financially able, we have been holding back some wine on vintages where it is possible, up to a thousand bottles per vintage, to age in our cellars under perfect conditions so we can add them to our Museum List and release with bottle age.
2013 was such a vintage. So, to make up for the loss of 2020 we will make available a small amount of Castagna Genesis Syrah 2013 and Castagna Un Segreto 2013.
The wines will be at a slightly discounted price – exclusive to our mailing list – and is a saving of about 15%.
