There have been times around Christmas time, since I returned to Australia, when I have pined or perhaps fantasised, about a ‘White Christmas’. But then Christmas Day arrives, and I begin the day, as I have for many years now, with a sparkling red; so uniquely Australian, and so magical. Immediately, both the pining and the fantasy disappear.
One of the interesting tasting experiences I offer visitors, when they come to our cellar door, is tasting both the still and the bubbles side-by-side – when it is the same vintage, side-by-side, the experience is quite exhilarating.
Same wine, same vintage – one with bubbles, one without. A really unique tasting experience.
So, our offer is one bottle of each (Christmas day lunch?):
